Frequently asked questions
I bought your products whilst on holiday, but can't find them in my area. Where can I buy them?
At the moment they are available from the bigger Co-op stores, Booths, selected Spar stores in the north and Yorkshire Waitrose stores. On the Isle of Man they are also available from Robinsons' Fresh Food.
Your products are so tasty: I can't imagine that they are also good for you.
Actually they are. They are a good source of vitamins and minerals, particularly a wide range of B vitamins. The mixed beans are also high in iron. For more details see the Nutrition page.
Do I have to wash your products before serving?
Absolutely not.
All the products in our 'and sow on...' range have been washed and are ready to eat, for your convenience
Do you have any recipes for me to follow using your Alfalfa?
Yes - take a look on the recipe pages for lots of ideas - snacks, soups, salads - its so versatile!
Can your fresh mixed sprouting beans be eaten raw, or do they need cooking?
Our mix of beans has been especially created to offer 'big appetite appeal', and they can be eaten straight from the bag as a delicious and healthy snack. Some customers like to chill them in the fridge first!
Of course you can cook with them also - many of our customers enjoy them in casseroles, stir fry's, salad's and soups. Just add at the end of cooking time for final minute.
How come you can give such a good shelf life?
Our sprouting seeds and beans are living products and still developing.
Our packaging is specially developed so the products continue to breath.
